About our invited artist:
MACARENA MÁRQUEZ RODRÍGUEZ, a gypsy cantaora y bailaora (singer & dancer), best known in the world of flamenco with the artistic name of MACARENA DE JEREZ, was born in Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), she discovered the love for the Art at a very early age. At the age of seven she took classes with the bailaor Cristóbal 'El Jerezano' and at ten she performed at the Villamarta theater with the show 'Los niños flamencos de Jerez'. Her finesse on the stage and her incredible skills with the cante soon placed her among the most talented young people in flamenco. So much so that years later she participates in the legendary program 'El Corral de la Pacheca', by Lauren Postigo, where once again reveals her artistic precocity.
With the passage of time, Macarena De Jerez has become a name within the Flamenco world. Macarena dominates like no one the most genuine Flamenco structures of her land, that is to say, malagueña, soleá, seguiriyas, tangos, fandangos or tarantos, buleria and many more. The Art of Macarena, It is so pure and great which can not be forgotten, This great gypsy artist, will always be immortal for all the Flamenco lovers of the world.
